Credit Suisse has announced the launch of an enhanced Chinese version of its Hedge Fund Index website.

The website updates a previous Chinese version that was launched in October 2007. The enhanced version was designed to meet client demand as the hedge fund industry gains prominence in the Asian markets.

In a statement the bank claimed: "This addition to the Credit Suisse/Tremont Hedge Fund Index website demonstrates the firm's focus on continuous improvement and development of innovative solutions to meet the needs of its diverse client base."

The Credit Suisse/Tremont family of hedge fund indices includes four separate indices:

  1. The Hedge Fund Index (the .Broad Index.), an asset-weighted benchmark that measures hedge fund performance

  2. The AllHedge Index (.SECTAH.), an investable index comprised of all 10 Credit Suisse/Tremont Sector Invest indices weighted according to the sector weights of the Broad Index

  3. The Blue Chip Index (.INVX.), an investable index comprised of the 60 largest funds across the ten style-based sectors in the broad index; and

  4. The Specialty Indices, the first of which is the LEA Index, an asset-weighted, composite index which provides insight in to three specific regions of the emerging markets hedge fund universe (Latin America, EEMEA (Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia).

You see, by having a strong guarantee, the loan modification company essentially provides a check and balance on whether to take your fee or not - since they know if they don't do their job, or get a poor modification done for you, they bear a financial risk.
