ING Investment Management Asia/Pacific (ING IM) has announced Bas van Buuren is to take on the role of regional head of institutional sales and business development.

He will report into Grant Bailey, regional general manager of ING IM, and be responsible for leading the institutional sales and business development initiatives across Asia Pacific, managing regional consultants' relationships and client servicing team.

Van Buuren has 13 years of business development experience in the asset management industry, with a focus in South Asia, having joined ING IM in Europe in 1995 before moving to Asia in 2000. He is currently the chief executive of ING IM Singapore, responsible for institutional business development.
