New Asia head for Clariden Leu

Swiss private bank Clariden Leu has appointed Jimmy Lee Kong Eng as its new Head Asia.


He has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry, and spent the last four and half years as head of private wealth management South East Asia / South Asia at Deutsche Bank in Singapore, where he led a team of over 150 employees.


Prior to this he spent more than six years as regional market director South Asia/ Australasia/international wealth management at Credit Suisse Private Banking in Singapore, and before this he was head of private banking Coutts Bank Schweiz AG in Singapore.


Previously he also worked as a private banker at J.P. Morgan and Swiss Bank Corporation (later UBS).


Rich Pfister, head of the Middle East & Asia division at Clariden Leu, said: "Our new Head Asia, Jimmy Lee Kong Eng, is a very experienced private banker with a remarkable track record.


"Together with his team, he will drive forward the implementation of our growth strategy in Asia."


Stefan Hausherr, head operations Asia and currently head Asia on an interim basis, will remain head operations and branch manager Singapore.
