RBS makes new appointments

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as announced two new appointments in Asia.


Steve Seymour is the new head of equities sales trading, Asia Pacific and Sally Ng is regional head of research for Asian Financials.


Seymour's remit is to deliver RBS's Core Equities strategy over 2009 (and beyond) which is designed to increase its market share and build a "scalable platform" by improving delivery of its core strengths and customising relationship coverage.


He will report to Peter Irvine, head of Asian equities and work alongside the equities management team in strengthening its platform to deliver the best value to our clients.


Ng joins RBS from UBS where she was previously a managing director, co-head of Asian banking and regional insurance, covering Hong Kong/China and regional financials including the insurance sector.
