Credit Suisse appoints new vice-chairman

Tee Fong Seng has been appointed as vice-chairman and head of ultra high net worth (UHNW) for private banking Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse.


He will provide strategic support to Credit Suisse's interests for Private Banking Asia Pacific. His responsibilities include the development of UHNW and the creation of innovative investment solutions for high value clients in the region.


Based in Singapore, Fong Seng will take up the role on 1 August and will report to Marcel Kreis, head of private banking Asia Pacific. Kreis said: "Fong Seng has an enormous wealth of experience in providing private banking services to UHNW Asian clients, which is a key client segment not only for Credit Suisse's private banking business but also for the success of our integrated bank strategy."


Most recently, Tee Fong Seng was head of wealth management, South East Asia and deputy branch manager at UBS Singapore. He currently sits on the Financial Industry Competency Standards (FICS) Steering Committee of the Institute of Banking and Finance in Singapore as well as chairing the FICS Wealth Management Working Group.
