RBS adds Harman as head of retail structuring in Asia-Pacific

Richard Harman has joined the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as head of retail structuring, Asia-Pacific.


Based in Hong Kong, Harman will report to Shane Edwards and David Moroney, global co-heads of retail structuring, and will be responsible for managing the retail structuring teams in the region.


Prior to joining RBS, Harman spent nine years at Citi, where he was based initially in Hong Kong and most recently in Tokyo. While at Citi, Harman was responsible for global hybrid solutions, a multi-asset class structured products business covering both asset (including equities, constant proportion portfolio insurance, hedge/commodity trading adviser funds, hedge fund replication, rule-based strategies and internally developed structured funds) and liability trades (including variable annuities).


In the Hong Kong role at Citi, Harman was a director in equity derivatives and responsible for structured investment product idea generation including structured mutual funds. Before Citi, he spent eight years at the Jardine Fleming Group
